Absolutely! In most Mediterranean destinations, a valid sailing license is required. In contrast, many Caribbean and Pacific locations accept a sailing résumé and relevant experience. Requirements vary by country, so feel free to reach out – we’ll guide you through the local legalities and ensure you're fully prepared.

Of course! Any motor yacht, sailing yacht, or catamaran can be chartered with a captain, hostess, and even a cook or chef on a freelance basis. We’ll recommend trusted crew members and provide full details, including availability and associated fees.

In general, payments are made in advance. A deposit is typically required upon booking, with the remaining balance due 4 to 6 weeks before the charter begins. Exact terms may vary depending on the yacht and destination – we’ll provide clear details with your booking offer.

Payments can be made via wire transfer or credit card (Visa, Mastercard, and Diners). For luxury crewed yacht charters, only wire transfers are accepted. We’ll provide all the necessary payment details during the booking process to ensure everything runs smoothly.

Simply put, the charter rate covers the yacht itself, along with its inventory and equipment. Additional costs during the charter – such as food, beverages, fuel, and marina fees – are not included. For luxury yacht charters, the crew is usually included in the rate, while for bareboat charters, crew services are optional and charged separately. If you're booking a yacht under a Caribbean All-Inclusive Rate, food, drinks, and fuel are covered.

In most cases, pets are not allowed on charter yachts. However, exceptions do exist – some yacht owners may permit pets on board upon request. If approved, a surcharge for extra cleaning will typically apply, and a separate refundable security deposit may be required. Just let us know in advance, and we’ll check the options for you.

The Advance Provisioning Allowance (APA) is a pre-paid amount collected with your second charter payment and transferred to the captain ahead of your trip. It’s used to cover operational expenses during your charter, such as fuel, food and beverages, marina and port fees, and any other running costs.

The APA is typically estimated at 20–40% of the charter fee before discounts, depending on the yacht type and cruising area. Throughout your charter, the captain will manage expenditures and keep you informed, providing a full accounting at the end.

• If you spend less than the APA, the unused balance is refunded.

• If you exceed the APA – for example, due to extended cruising, fine wines, or high-end marina berths – you’ll be asked to settle the difference at the end of your charter.

Actual costs can vary widely based on your preferences. For instance, sailing yachts may use little fuel if wind conditions are favorable, and choosing quiet anchorages over marinas can significantly reduce expenses. Ultimately, the APA ensures your charter runs smoothly and is tailored to your individual tastes and itinerary.

Pure anticipation! Unlike automated booking platforms, our service continues well beyond payment. Around 4 weeks before your charter, we’ll send you all the necessary details for a smooth yacht handover, including base location info and check-in instructions.
